This makes it much easier to define a connection with json. We can do this:
```json
{"extra": {"keyfile_dict": {"foo": "bar", "private_key": "hi"}}}
```
Instead of this:
```json
{"extra": {"keyfile_dict": "{\"foo\": \"bar\", \"private_key\": \"hi\"}"}}
```
