Got more information from the proxy administrator in the meantime:

If not I think it's fine to remove their name, I suppose the plugin moved there when Codehaus closed shop and it's probably more correct to attribute the code to "the Mojohaus Maven Utilities community". As for Benjamin Bentmann best might be to verify that he agrees to the donation? A comment from him here mentioning that would be good enough I suppose. I think it's reasonable to use [https://github.com/mojohaus/nbm-maven-plugin/graphs/contributors] as the source of contributors names, considering that graph goes back to 2006. Once your points 1. and 2. are clarified I think this is good to go! Next steps are to take care of all items which have an empty date field on that page as well as provide a link to a PPMC vote on accepting that contribution.
