Resolution: Later

I'm going to close this with Later due to Mac OS X + Java bugs preventing us
from removing hadoop-env.sh. :(

> With HADOOP-9902 in place, we don't have to ship *-env.sh called as such and
> only provide examples. This goes a long way with being able to upgrade the
> binaries in place since we would no longer overwrite those files upon
> extraction.

[jira] [Created] (HADOOP-11636) Several tests are not stable (OpenJDK - Ubuntu - x86_64) V2.6.0

2015-02-25 Thread Tony Reix (JIRA)
Tony Reix created HADOOP-11636:
--

Summary: Several tests are not stable (OpenJDK - Ubuntu - x86_64)
V2.6.0
 Key: HADOOP-11636
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-11636
 Project: Hadoop Common
  Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.6.0
 Environment: OpenJDK 1.7 - Ubuntu - x86_64
Reporter: Tony Reix

I've run all the Hadoop 2.6.0 tests many times (16 for now).
Using a tool, I can see that 30 tests are unstable.
Unstable means that the result (Number of failures and errors) is not stable.
