No, I didn't. What would be the interest to do so ? I used ArticleIndex, ArticleParser and ArticleRenderer individually (not the 00run shell script.) This time, I use the script, but a huge articles0.html file is being generated. I think it is not a good thing, but I will see this midday, the parsing will be over and rendering started. Re: [All] New version of the orrery program available
One of the most commonly cited bugs, which caused the program to fail if it was run on a phone whose locale had been set to a language which uses commas, rather than periods, as the decimal place separator, has been fixed. Thanks a bunch to Heiko Stubner, who submitted a patch that fixed this bug. orrery 2.7 works well, if you start it from ssh. But the problem with orrery crashing when started through illume icon or from terminal is still there. The error is still Wrong number (1) of numbers found on line 1 of /media/card/orrery/orbitalElements/mercury/Elements What I do now is, starting orrey by wrapper skript that unsets LANG and LC_ALL. Re: OT: Where can I meet a female companion with similar interests and personality /in person/?
I think making a list and talking to a therapist will help. I am currently seeing an advisor from my university for roughly the same reasons as you. She usually offers me different points of view on my tasks and actions, and this seems helpful. For social interaction, I was going to archery club but I was simply shooting alone. Then I tried the computer geeks club, it seemed to work out, but being an international student I have a language barrier and that makes things harder. Dance classes are excellent places to meet people(not necessarily for dating) but my body coordination so poor that I ended up feeling retarded because I can't do three things at once(follow the steps + follow hand moves + shake hips). Atilla On Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 11:47 PM, Brolin Empey bro...@brolin.be wrote: 2009/11/12 Brolin Empey bro...@brolin.be Hello list, I am writing a follow-up/update to my original post just over 2 months later. What has changed since my original post? Another update. What has changed since my last update? 1. I stopped hiring Dave McCormick because I did not want to spend so much money when I did not even know what to have him help me with. 2. I signed a tenancy agreement to rent a 1-bedroom apartment in Ladner Village: my tenancy begins on 2010-01-01. Of course, I am already having regrets because I am afraid the apartment is too small, it has electric heating, it is on the 3rd floor but there is no elevator, I do not know where I will store my bicycle even though I almost never use it any more, ... Oh well, at least I chose something. It could be much worse. 3. I finally upgraded my FreeRunner from QtMoko v11 to v14. That was a huge hassle (because I had to manually back up my QtMoko v11 installation, reflash QtMoko v14, then restore everything I needed from my backup) and took at least 8 hours over 1 weekend, but it was worth it because the video is much more responsive with QtMoko v14 than v11. QX still does not seem to work, though: I still always end up having to remove my FreeRunner’s battery after trying to use QX because my FreeRunner becomes unusable. (fail) Debian needs to update the version of mc in lenny/stable because their current version has a regression which prevents mc from listing the contents of some tar archives, including the one I made to back up my QtMoko v11 installation. (fail) 4. I still have not bought a MicroSDHC card so I still cannot install plain Debian so I still do not have a working X server so I still cannot run Navit, but my parents gave me a Garmin nuvi 755T road navigiation system (commonly and very imprecisely called “a GPS”), so I at least have a working road navigation system for now. I used the nuvi 755T to drive to work today: it seems to work OK, but the text-to-speech (TTS) engine is poor: it sounds very mechanical and would probably never be mistaken for a real human voice. I have heard much better TTS voices, but I cannot remember their names so I cannot cite any examples. 5. I have actually used Xubuntu 9.10 at work (it is *so* stable: it has unexpectedly locked up only once so far! :P), but still not Ubuntu 9.10 nor Kubuntu 9.10. Of course, making Xorg use 16-bit colour depth instead of the default 24-bit so the 4 MiB video card can drive a 17 LCD monitor at its native 1280x1024 mode was a huge hassle involving hours of playing (experimenting) with *xorg.conf*, checking *Xorg.0.log*, comparing and copying from *xorg.conf*s on other PCs with the same model of LCD monitor, ... 6. I actually messaged one of the people (Janet) from the Ubuntu Vancouver LoCo, but she still has not replied and I have not met her since I messaged her. 7. I bought a used Canon PowerShot G6 for about 275 CAD including shipping via an eBay auction because I did not want to spend 550 CAD on a new PowerShot G11 (the current model), which will be worth less than half that in 5 years or less. Of course, I am already having regrets, but I probably would have regretted buying a G11 too because the G6 is sufficient. I am still constantly overthinking, obsessing, overwhelmed with ambivalence, indecision, and too much information. I still have no female companion. I have no close friends in Ladner other than maybe Miles Husoy, but I have not even seen him for months. I am not surprised, though, because I continue to isolate myself. I always feel like I have too much crap to do but I still lay in my bed at home and inevitably fall alseep because I am tired of overthinking and obsessing and am too ambivalent to do some of the endless things I should be doing. Now I have to prepare for my Class 5 passenger

Is there a place in the Illume code where I can catch every time that the current foreground thing changes? My best guess so far is the BORDER_FOCUS_IN event, but this misses at least two cases: 1. Switching back to the Illume launcher - which it appears doesn't count as an E_Border. 2. An app (like Mokomaze) that starts up in full screen. OT: Which MicroUSB adapters/cables do I need to buy?
Hello World, My colleague has a Freescale dev board with a MicroUSB receptacle. He wants to connect a USB hub to the dev board and also connect the dev board to his PC (1 at a time, not both at once!). Can anyone please tell me which specific adapters and/or cables I need to buy in order to accomplish these goals? I mean can you provide links to products in a Web store, such as DealExtreme or another store you think is a good choice for shipping to Canada? I live and work in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. I have checked some local and Canadian stores (A-Power, NCIX, ACP Marketing, TigerDirect.ca), but none have what I need. The only store that appears to have what I need is DealExtreme: I can buy a cable with a full-size A plug to a Micro A/B (I do not remember which one.) plug, but then I still need a full-size A gender changer to connect a USB hub to the dev board, but then I need 2 cables + a gender changer or 1 cable, 1 gender changer, and 1 full-size A plug to B plug adapter (the size depends on the receptacle on the USB hub) just to connect a USB hub. I have already spent hours searching for adapters and/or cables, but I am more confused than when I started. Are there adapters with a Micro A/B plug and a full-size A receptacle for connecting USB hubs to Micro receptacles? I know this is off-topic because the FreeRunner uses Mini, not Micro, USB connectors, but I thought someone here could help me. We realize that this must be disappointing news, but unfortunately we don't have a sufficient number of rooms to our disposal to cover all requests. Just to clarify: your request is perfectly valid, but we had to pick. Although your project will not have a devroom, there are other possibilities to talk about it at FOSDEM: * on http://fosdem.org/2010/list-devrooms-their-call-talks we host a list of the accepted devrooms, with (soon) a link to their call for talks -- perhaps one of the devrooms shares your interests ? * projects that do not fit in a devroom can apply for a lightning talk, see http://fosdem.org/2010/call_for_lightningtalks You might want to contact Philippe De Swert (in CC:) as he is managing the embedded developer room to have a session there, if Philippe sees fit. With kind regards, on behalf of the FOSDEM devroom organizers, -- -o) Pascal Bleser l...@fosdem.orghttp://www.fosdem.org /\\ FOSDEM 2010 :: 6+7 February 2010 in Brussels _\_v Free and Opensource Software Developers European Meeting pgpcS52MRdG9l.pgp Description: PGP signature ---End Message--- ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Re: FWD: FOSDEM 2010: Devroom for openmoko declined
Hi Dave, Philippe, Robert, Pieter As every year, we have a lot more devroom requests than actual rooms and, as such, we decided that there wouldn't be a Mobile devroom on its own. Please get in touch with Philippe De Swert (in CC:) to coordinate a Mobile+Embedded devroom in the Embedded devroom. Philippe, here is Dave's proposal for a Mobile devroom: ---8- Mobile platforms and development has become more and more prominent over the past years, with the advent of Netbooks, internet tablets and other small-form-factor devices running a graphical Linux environment. The Mobile devroom will have content related to Maemo, Moblin, LiMo, GNOME Mobile, OpenEmbedded and other mobile-related subjects. ---8- On a side note, we also received a devroom request for OpenEmbedded (on its own, not as part of the Mobile devroom). We declined that request and, instead, directed Robert Schuster (who made the request and is in CC:) to Philippe. Same thing for OpenMoko by the way -- Pieter Colpaert made the request for OpenMoko, that has also been declined, and he is also in CC: Note that for us, Philippe is our contact person for the Embedded devroom (or Embedded+Mobile or whatever it'll be called), not least because he has been very successfully doing so for quite a few years. Hence, as far as we are concerned, his call is the last call ;) cheers -- -o) Pascal Bleser l...@fosdem.orghttp://www.fosdem.org /\\ FOSDEM 2010 :: 6 + 7 February 2010 in Brussels _\_v Free and Opensource Software Developers European Meeting -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/FOSDEM-2010-Devroom-for-openmoko-declined-tp4097204p4097231.html Sent from the Openmoko Community mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: FWD: FOSDEM 2010: Devroom for openmoko declined
Our devroom got declined, however Philippe De Swert will be open to accept openmoko talks and I think we should be happy to do so. It's good to do less talks for a wider audience and I suggest that if anyone is eager to do so, do not hisitate to contact Philippe De Swert. I do not think we should shake our heads (please don't ;-) ). We should team up with the mobile and embedded guys and do our thing. Pieter As every year openembedded/openmoko talks are welcome. In case you would like to do something more specific please get in touch with those ideas and we will discuss what is possible. Thanks and I hope to hear from you all, Philippe Michael 'Mickey' Lauer-2 wrote: http://fosdem.org/2010/list-devrooms-their-call-talks Looking at this list, I really wonder about the criteria these folks use... *shakes head* :M: ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/FOSDEM-2010-Devroom-for-openmoko-declined-tp4097204p4097264.html Sent from the Openmoko Community mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

2009/12/2 PieterC freep...@gmail.com: I do not think we should shake our heads (please don't ;-) ). We should team up with the mobile and embedded guys and do our thing. Definitely! I'm not sure about the deadlines, but the sooner the better. I'm not sure if I should again cover the kernel mode-setting and tell people what Thomas (and possibly others...) have come up with by that time. I like the time amount in a lightning talk myself, but do note that if you plan to do a lighting talk, deadline for those requests are 2009-12-20. I guess there might be some more time for deadlines for a session in a track, unless the track fills up of course. If anyone from the gta02-core team could give a presentation, that would be IMHO fabulous. Just for example. See you at FOSDEM! Carry your Neo on your neck so it's easier to spot you ;) -Timo ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Re: [shr] vnc-server?
Yes. playya and I were also wondering, if ewww would make it into OE/SHR. The screenies he showed me were very exciting. Smart, and simpel, and there is enough place left on the screen, for showing the whole website content at once on some pages (e.g. google start page shouldnt give the need to cut it) What it looks like concerning this autoscrolling and so on, I don't know, because it doesnt seem to be available as bitbake recipe (basically not as separat recipe). Or did I overlook something? If its in there, how is it's recipes name? I'm burning to test this browser my self. I've got two potential devices to test the browser's behaviour on. OM-GTA02 and HTC-Dream. Re: [Shr-User] Contacts phones with dashes
As its name says. Its a phone-_number_ - is not a digit. Some one would have to write a string-parsing function first and put it into the procedure before the call-function. (As simple as I think? Dunno. Would have to look into it, but I'm busy ATM with the alsa-driver problem on htc-dream for SHR) best regards leviathan signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: [Shr-User] Contacts phones with dashes
Yes, but - is a very common separator for phone numbers - its much easier to on the eye to split (for us in Oz its 4-4 split, -) and is often how its written/displayed. I think (dont have it to check) my treo handles it fine. There are also other characters such as , which I think means a pause in a dial string (google comma pause dial string for some other characters used - blackberry's use a number of pause characters it seems) - needed for some PBX's, voice mail systems and the like. So they should be handled by default as others do. Billk On Wed, 2009-12-02 at 08:23 +0100, David Lanzendörfer wrote: As its name says. Its a phone-_number_ - is not a digit.
