You should try lightspark. It's open source Flash player
implementation and has support for recent versions of Flash.

 I did a video as well, showing my new dual-booting solution called Bootr:
 http://vimeo.com/18744450

 With Bootr you can switch between WebOS and SHR at bootup.
 Bootr lives here: https://github.com/slyon/bootr
 I tried really hard to see this video,
 I tried :
 *viewing with gnash
 *using some download website that were suspicious:
 **some require java
 **some wants you to install some toolbars
 *using cclive
 *using cclive from git(didn't compile)
 *using greasemonkey(greasemonkey extension was unavailable due to
 website issues)
 *using grease monkey again(when it became available again) with
 http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/56677
 It displayed a bar but clicking on it shown a page with the following
 written:
  Technical Difficulties
  Whoops! We are having some technical difficulties, please try again in
 a minute.

 So is there a way to view that video without installing the non-free
 flash player?

 Denis.

Hi Denis,

if you are using Chromium as browser there is a link under the video
saying: Switch to HTML5 player, which you can click, to see the video
without any need of Flash.

Re: QtMoko v31 NeronGPS - trace stops after fix loss

2011-01-15 Thread Francesco De Vita
Same problem here, I suppose that we need a patch for NeronGPS. This
problem is present from early versions of QtMoko!

People,

When I use this app and have recording On, if I go through a tunnel

look at the trace of the journey later it is truncated from the point

a new trace file?

Thanks,

lightspark seems to be very new. It's not even in debian unstable yet
(only experimental). Have you tested that vimeo actually works with it?

I set the alarm and switched the phone off. When the time came the phone

If I did the same, but suspend (by short power button press) the phone
instead of switching off, everything was OK.

Any idea how to fix this?

BTW.. how do I choose the file to be played as alarm ringing?

Same result here.

To change tone:
Goto Main Menu - Settings - Profiles - 'Choose actual profile' - Choose
Edit on the bottom icon to the left - Choose Tones tab - Roll down to
the bottom - Click alarm and now you can chose your new tone.--

Re: QtMoko v31

2011-01-15 Thread Joif

Hi! thank you for this new release!

Qtmoko v31 with the latest u-boot from Gennady.

bugs:
- like in v30 the gps remains on, it turns off only after a sospension
- an evergreen :) power management bug, I didn't try the workaround from
Yoric Kotchukov but IMHO it is not comfortable to do it at every release;
- I see console messages when I'm connecting with wifi;

pro:
GPS fix in less then a minute! :) (also after a sospension);

wishlist:
- a message to confirm that an sms was sent;
- less output during boot;
- another evergreen :) bluetooth turned off at boot, for battery saving
(well, we could make a poll: how many people need the bluetooth after a
boot?)

greetings!
Joif

Re: [Shr-Devel] some advertising

2011-01-15 Thread Martix
Oops, I had tested lightspark only on Youtube and I just tried it with
Vimeo and it's not working for now. But in general, lightspark works
better with videos than Gnash or other open source Flashplayer
implementations like swfdec. I hope, they'll fix Vimeo support soon.

Martix
