It is possible, but you'd have to modify the source code - most likely the
mail application:

Looks very nice indeed! Will it be possible to order a GTA04 upgrade
with a navigation board included in the re-work?

GPRS tricks for QtMoko?

2011-04-13 Thread Sven Hartrumpf
Hi all.

Under SHR, I used GPRS without any problems.
Under qtmoko v35, I had no luck. I used the same access data
as for SHR (plus Startup mode: When needed)
at Settings|Internet|Data|New, but when I start a connection
it blinks for some seconds with the message PROVIDER pending,
short flash of PROVIDER unavailable
and finally PROVIDER offline.
(In the top region, a G is shown, but ping to known numerical IPs
fail.)

Which log to check?
Which options to play around?

Sorry, for taking your time again :-(
Sven

You can try Application-NeoControl-Modem settings-Uncheck Multiplexing.
Restart phone and you can try again.

You might try to fill username and password even with some dummy values.

Thanks!
Now it works.
I tried to make the change you suggested permanent by changing

/opt/qtmoko/etc/default/Trolltech/Modem.conf

Let's see.

Re: qtmoko v35- status of qtmoko.meurisse.org

2011-04-13 Thread Vincent Meurisse
 Thanks a lot.
A question: some time ago I had upated my installation through the deb
package on http://qtmoko.meurisse.org. The version there is still v31.
Hello,

I finally found time to update the packages on qtmoko.meurisse.org.
I was unfortunately unable to test them completely. Please report any bug.

Warning: if you installed to nand, DO NOT TRY TO UPDATE The filesystem
change from jffs2 to ubifs would make your phone unbootable.
