OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner GTA02 A6 for Sale
I'm selling my OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner GTA02 A6 for € 150 (I bought it in August 2008 for € 299). It had the buzz fix applied by Golden Delicious Computers in June 2009. It comes with the original stylus, recharger, Transcend 512MB Micro SD card plus SD adpater, packaging, and battery (which lasts probably not as long as in the beginning anymore), *plus* a spare one which was only very rarely used, and a headset. It's in good (though obviously not mint) condition. I've just flashed it to a fresh QtMoko v35. This might also be an interesting purchase for people considering GTA04 currently offered by Golden Delicious Computers. I'm located in Linz, Austria. I'm willing to ship the phone to locations in Austria or (most of) Europe at the rates given below. For other locations, I'd need to calculate the shipping rates before I can agree to ship there. Picking it up at my place at no extra cost (and paying cash;-) is also okay. I might travel to Vienna within the next month, to which I could also take it, but that's not quite certain yet. For payment, I'd prefer • normal money transfer (for which I will provide my IBAN/BIC data); I will ship an insured package after having received the money, at € 4.30 (Austria) or € 13.50 (Europe). • or COD (="Nachnahme"), but only after having received at least the shipping costs by money transfer, which in this case are € 7.80 (Austria) or € 18 (Europe). It's probably because the alsa state files moved to from /usr/share to /opt/qtmoko and it was not done in source code. It looks that we now need another release and i have to test it better... Re: QtMoko v38 for GTA02
Hi again I don't know if it is related in some way with the sound issue, but I was installing a package with apt-get and I received this message: >WARNING: Couldn't open directory /lib/modules/2.6.34-qtmoko: No such file or directory >FATAL: Could not open /lib/modules/2.6.34-qtmoko/modules.dep.temp for writing: No such file or directory >dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.34-qtmoko-gta02 (--configure): > subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 >configured to not write apport reports > Errors were encountered while processing: > linux-image-2.6.34-qtmoko-gta02 >E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) ls gives: > root@neo:~# ls /lib/modules > 2.6.34-qtmoko-v34 So it is "2.6.34-qtmoko-v34" and not "2.6.34-qtmoko" as reported in the warning. ANN: GTA04 Group Tour subscription timeframe extended until end of March
Looking at the subscription rate of approx. 25% and comparing with the end of the planned subscription timeframe coming very close, it is becomes very clear that it would need a wonder to quadruple the subscription (although everyone just has to convince 3 friends) within one week. Therefore, we finally decided to extend the subscription timeframe until 31 March 2012 This has several reasons: 1. we learned that some of you need more time to see that the GTA04 is really working (kernel, hardware stable, useable as real phone etc). It isn't missing much but the "GTA04 from stock" has just started shipping, i.e. there is no feedback yet. 2. some of you need a completely new case. Making real cases from the very promising ideas to work with Shapeways do wooden milling or deep drawing etc. is possible but needs more development time. And we need to finalize a CaseKit with the missing components. 3. GTA04 is still not well known as we learn during FOSDEM. Articles like the one on linuxfordevices.com [1] are just the first start. So extending the timeframe means that everyone who has already ordered can get a) a refund b) upgrade to a "GTA04 from stock" c) or just do nothing and wait This is a little simpler to organise than cancelling the whole tour and starting a new one. But the effect is the same. All those who had planned to order by end of January but did see no chance that the group tour really starts get a second chance. We will try to prepare production as good as possible (e.g. making non-binding reservations for components) so that we don't have to wait too long because some resistor suddenly has 20 weeks delivery time. Don't worry that this cancellation and restart has happened, but let's work (discuss, inform, promote, write code, ...) that we don't have to extend it again... Let's really make a new future out of the heritage from Openmoko*. Best wishes from FOSDEM, Nikolaus [1] http://www.linuxfordevices.com/c/a/News/Golden-Delicious-Openmoko-GTA04/ * OpenPhoenux = Open Phone for Linux with an allusion to "Phoenix" ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Nice to learn v38 is available to GTA02. Thanks. 2012/2/3 Radek Polak : > Most of the changes since v37 were GTA04 hw adapation. Try SHR and Navit to see if it pleases you. I've never had any problems with the GPS turning on (and off) in SHR. That was last year (since my earpiece broke, rendering my GTA02 useless...), so I'm not aware of the latest status.
