[QtMoko] application development - 2

2010-05-26 Thread Kahless
Hi Radek, Hi List,

after successfully setting up the whole cross compile and qtmoko build
environment i'm trying to compile some test applications.

crosscompiling works and the resuling arm binary works fine on my
freerunner, but it's just a very ugly grey one.

i read in the wiki:

if your package does not have qtmoko look and feel, place it in sub folder of
qtmoko git - e.g. qtmoko apps directory is best place.

but that doesn't work for me. atm my sample programs are located here:
build/qtmoko-apps/. i tested some other locations, but nothing worked
so far.

any help would be appreciated.

 hi Kahless,

evolution support is not yet finished - but under development.

In fact (from my point of view as PISI developer) it has never worked
on the Freerunner (only on desktop machines).

sorry ... there is some problems with opening the evolution database
on a different plattform than it was stored on; I haven't yet found a
time to get around that ...

 Best

Pisi error: unsupported hash version: 9

2010-05-17 Thread Kahless
hi list,

i'm trying to sync my sim contacts via pisi with my desktop evolution,
but since 2 days it doesn't work.

i tested that on QtMoko v22 / Shr-T / Shr-U, all of them fully updated.

all i get is this error:

i dont have any ideas left :(

any suggestions/tips?

thx a lot

 Why does it do that?
Shouldn't it show version 0.4 something?
Try the QtMoko Software installer, i think thats the correct version.
(cant confirm it now, making some backups)

Hi Radek,

thx again for your great release.

Its working fine with my FR, its fast and nice.

But there are some questions left.

- Whats about the Missing SMS bug? It`s not fixed for me :(.
- Sometimes my whole Contacts list disappears, there are no contacts
found. QtMoko says: No Contacts.
- Which Headset do you use? My Headset (Bluetrek Tattoo) does not
give me any sound. I can pair and connect it, but while phoning, theres
just a (like no line) Buzz/Static-Noise.
- Every now and then my phone stops answering incoming calls / incoming
sms .(its like im not available)

I can't provide logs (if necessary, i'll dig for them), i hope this are
known bugs.

Greetings from Germany!

Hi Radek

as always, i love QtMoko!
It's fast, stable and reliable, even GPRS works out of the box here. :)

The only thing that doesn't really work is Bluetooth. ATM it seems to
survive suspend/resume and my Headset is identified and paired. But
QtMoko doesn't use it while phoning.

I can hear a small buzz (like phone without signal) but it doesn't work,
even when i switch to bluetooth Headset via Options in the lower left.

Are there any plans to fix that in the future (even when QtMoko v9 is
the last one)?

Greetings

Sascha
