Stable OM distro

I'd need to: - Entry pin (I haven't manage to do it in 2008.8 despite moving pen up) - Phone/Recive SMS - Have GPS/WiFi - Have USB Networking for initial setup FSO: Not stable (breakes calls, not recive sms etc.) 2008.8: Can't enter pin 2007.11: Breakes after update (cannot boot) celtune: usb0: no such device I had perfectly set-up phone but it had broken and I had it replaced. Regards -- I've probably left my head... somewhere. Please wait untill I find it. OM Repositories
For a 2007.02 to keep the phone up-to-date (i.e. reasonable 'unstable') should I use http://downloads.openmoko.org/repository/Om2007.2/ or http://downloads.openmoko.org/repository/{testing/,unstable/}? The first one is not updated since a month. The second ones are described nowhere. Regards -- I've probably left my head... somewhere. Please wait untill I find it. Migration to 2008.08
1. Is it worthy to migrate to 2008.08 from 2007.02+daily feed? 2. How to import data (SMS + Phone Book) from 2007.02 into 2008.08. Regards PS. BTW how to delete contacts from SIM card? In 2007.07 it doesn't work - after restart they reappear. -- I've probably left my head... somewhere. Please wait untill I find it. As I understand it, there is not yet a cron or the moral equivalent. It's not a simple port, as you have to be able to wake the phone from suspend, etc. I'm hoping that someone who understands the low-level issues will decide to dive into this, because I have a number of ideas that require something like cron. Perhaps this will be part of FSO? Arne brought it up on the list about six weeks ago, and there was no real answer then. I'm planning to write a wake-up daemon (i.e. daemon who recive a lists of times from applications and set-up properly RTC). However as I would like to make it for both 2007.02 and FSO I asked is there any FSO spec about it. I'll probably do it in the near future. Regards -- I've probably left my head... somewhere. What's the procedure of 'getting involved'? I know that alarm clock co. is in milestone 5 but the alarams are on the 3rd place on my importance list for telephones (after the calls and messages). How to import vCard into contacts
On my previous phone I had large collection of the contacts (email, phones etc.). I've exported it by gammu to the vCard format. How to import them into OpenMoko Contacts? Best regards PS. I've noticed that you are using evolution storing format. However the esd is not run (probably for performance reasons). What API should I use then to access it if I would like to write a importing script myself? -- I've probably left my head... somewhere. Please wait untill I find it.
