[Hackable:1] Bluetooth: How to connect with laptop? (ubuntu 9.04)
Hi, I hope someone can answer this question: How can I connect my neo with my laptop per bluetooth? When I enable th BT connection ower the powerButton menu my laptop can see the neo and the neo can see my laptop. But every try to connect the two fails. On the neo I tried: hcitool cc macAddressOfTheBTChipOfMyLaptop there comes no message after that and the two are not connected From my laptop I tried it over the GUI, but here it asks for a PIN and I don't know what PIN the H:1 has?! Or where I can configure it. Hope someone can help me. signature.asc Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: Paroli introduction video
Wow, nice video. And sure a lot of work (painting all the papers). Nice idea ;) Am Samstag, den 06.06.2009, 16:15 +0200 schrieb Laszlo KREKACS: Dear list, Im toying with the idea, of creating a Paroli introduction video, where I present all the basic phone functionality of paroli. Short of a tutorial, where I can point the newcomers to. I have began to shoot the video, and made about 5 min, where I needed to cut off. The video is not finished, and I will reshoot it, as it is blurry, and shacked the camera a lot. However, I will be not able reshoot it before wednesday or later next week. So Im posting this *work-in-progress* 10% made video to the community hoping that somebody with willing to record the audio will join me, and others will have some feedbacks too. I also hoping, if some of you have done video editing before, and can adjust the background sound, with voice, and finalise the video will step up, and help me. Otherwise I will reshoot the video next week, and put online as-is. I hope it will be less blurry (the lcd is broken in my camera, so cant see anything while filming;-|) What I really like in this video, is how speedy paroli is. There is not much waiting, the video is realtime, was absolutely no editing in it. http://www.vimeo.com/5029019 Feedbacks? Laszlo PS: bear in mind, that this is my first video. mokogeocaching...can someone help me please?
Hi guys, the program does not run on my freerunner. I've tried with SHR/unstable and SHR/testing and the newest hackable version, but everytime I click on search I get this error message:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?origin_lat=55.6307origin_long=12.6454dist=3submit3=Search getting data Traceback (most recent call last): File ./mokogeocaching.py, line 814, in search result = self.downloader.search(self.inputLat.get_text(), self.inputLon.get_text(), self.inputRadius.get_text()) File ./mokogeocaching.py, line 469, in search self.get_search_result() eventtarget = self.searchHTLM[start-37:start-7] UnboundLocalError: local variable 'start' referenced before assignment
I've tried the program on my desktop pc (ubuntu 9.04) and it worked. So I looked after the python versions and it seems clear: python on pc: 2.6.4 or 2.5.4. So I downloaded the 2.5.4 python version from debian//sid and installed it on my hackable. After installation I thought, it have to work...but...I failed, the error is the same as with 2.5.2. Now I don't have any clue what causes the error. Hope someone could help me. Oh and before I forget: It works still on my ubuntu pc (I've not tried to import the data, but I get a message box which says that there are xxx caches in this area...on the freerunner I'm not getting this message box because of the error) signature.asc Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
GPRS and incall volume adjustment OM2009 and hackable?!
Hi there, for me, hackable is quite useable, but I've got two questions, that are also affecting OM2009: Is there a graphical setting application with which I can activate and configure (passwd, username and provider) GPRS? I haven't found something like that in hackable (even going through the config files as descripted in http://blondon.fr/blog/index.php?post/2009/05/21/hackable% 3A1-rev4-and-the-gprs doesn't work, I get no error, but I can't ping anything) and for OM2009 I only found a notice, that it will be implemented at the end of March - http://lists.openmoko.org/nabble.html#nabble-td2410042|a2410042. But march is over, so is there a GUI for GPRS settings? And now the second question: Voice adjustment during a call. In hackable, there is a slider for this, but it doesn't seem to do anything functional?! In OM2009, if I read the wiki page correct, there is already such a thing. But for what is it? Is it the adjustment of my microphone, or the adjustment of my speakers? Or both? Oh and, is OM2009 as fast as hackable? (scrolling, starting applications...) signature.asc Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: GPRS and incall volume adjustment OM2009 and hackable?!
That's great. I'm not needing username/password, too. But in other distros/configs I've to set for password and username, otherwise the GPRS connection does not work. Re: Neverball, anyone?
It's not that version of that game. It's a java (I think) version of it and as far as I know it was a Nokia. There are many reimplementations of that game. I know that there is one for the Iphone and on many new handys (where new means since 2004) you can find this game. Re: [SHR] first total usable image
Not per GUI but per terminal it should work...haven't tried it (wifi) For USB I've to plug-in the neo, then kill the NetworkManager, restart /etc/init.d/networking and start the NetworkManager the usb interface has to be defined in the /etc/network/interfaces (Ubuntu 8.10) then a sudo ifconfig usb0 up and you can connect to the FR per SSH Am Dienstag, den 03.02.2009, 13:33 -0700 schrieb bburde...@comcast.net: Steffen Winkler wrote: Three days ago, I installed the actual SHR onto my freerunner (testing or unstable...I think it was the unstable image, but not sure) and today, I can only say one thing: It's the best image I've ever seen! [SHR] first total usable image
Three days ago, I installed the actual SHR onto my freerunner (testing or unstable...I think it was the unstable image, but not sure) and today, I can only say one thing: It's the best image I've ever seen! GPS works! (needs 20 minutes for first fix: first killall fso-gpsd, then power on the gps device echo 1 /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/pcf50633-regltr.7/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron then type cat /dev/ttySAC1 and wait, still you see some numbers or characters between all commas in a GPS message (ignore those unknown ... messages) when that happens, type ctrl +c to kill the cat output and start fso-gpsd. Now open tangoGPS and wait some seconds and you can see where you are. GPRS works! Simple follow the fso gprs manual in the wiki Voice quality is better than the voice quality on most normal handys for me. Now I only need bluetooth and a good audio player (the pythm doesn't play .ogg files well...only I make a bad quality ogg file...) signature.asc Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
