Re: AW: New accelerometer application, that draws the current perpendicular line and angle
Just install them from openmoko repositories, then it works. http://downloads.openmoko.org/repository/unstable/armv4t/ or experimental one. Btw. this app is really nice, I thought about some similar one - instead of line, rolling ball. Maybe in some free time.. Re: [SHR] latest unstable does really work???
I did also run an upgrade but when re-booting, IPv4 got lost and GSM doesnt seem to be working! I get no signal any more although, in the first boot, this wasn't the case! For non working GSM, run in terminal ophonekitd - after getting signal you can ctrl-c this command. That's how I do, and it works. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: SHR Unstable
I'm using shr-unstable aswell, but from 13th january. Newer versions have not working gsm, and have that very annoying issue program crashed and left no error log when accesing contacts or messages. I'm flashing every new images to see if it is solved, because this the best distribution I used so far. Re: SHR Unstable
Well, I'll give it a try once more and leave it for an hour to see if it can register correctly. I can always flash it back ;) On Sun, Jan 25, 2009 at 11:59 AM, Neil Jerram neiljer...@googlemail.com wrote: 2009/1/25 wp wpmaill...@gmail.com: I'm using shr-unstable aswell, but from 13th january. Re: SHR Unstable
Well, it's as I said: gsm is not working for me and these programs still crash. Maybe it's because of my provider, dunno. I was having these issues with image form 13 january too, but I could turn on and off gsm in settings; newer images have other settings manager and gsm is not controlable through it yet. I will try again with next images. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: SHR Unstable
Ok, ophonekitd solved the problem. GSM is not controlable? I'm a developer of new shr-settings app, and GSM works for me. What problems do you have? If after click on GSM button nothing is displayed, then GSM resource is disabled - you have to run ophonekitd from console. (i commited some seconds ago patch to display info and button to start ophonekitd from shr-settings). If ophonekitd is failing all the time, i suggest to install zhone to test, if it's FSO or SHR problem. dos ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Re: First impressions on new Android rootfs
Hi Thanks for providing an image. Few words from me: I'm able to make calls, but it's rather hard to hear other person in a speaker (he does hear me very well, no echo issue). After receiving a message (yep, it works) I lost contact with my gsm network, so I can't answer. Reboots did not work, i'm reflashing right now. Couldn't find my wifi network, but it maybe my router's issue. Resume from a suspend does not work. Browser and few apps too, but it's not high prioritaire right now, I think ;) Everything beside that - is great! Thanks and waiting for more ;) ps. After reflashing, I still don't have a gsm connection. After reinserting sim, I've got a connection and lost it again. Some problems here.. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

[Debian] In need of debian tarball
Hi Because of annoying problems with debian installation (sd card clocking etc) I wanted to install it via tarball, downloaded from torrent (as described in alternate method of installation). But, guess what, there are no seeders! And there is no tarballs on any ftp. So here is what I please for: can someone, who had a little more luck than me, put his tarball on some server? Btw, it's strange for me, that it is not in any repository yet. Concept arts. Interface - how I would like it to see.
Dear Community, As first, I want to say thank you for all your great job, by which I can do what I do now. Om2008.* is, (in my opinion!), not very comfortable in use (Qtopia goes way better, but it is still not what I want). I mean - I know that versions we have today are not supposed to look good, that everything can get changed and the biggest prioritaire is to bring it all work flawlessly. I know and I'm happy with it and I can't stand waiting for everything that lay ahead ;) While having some free time, I decided to create some concept arts of interface. They are created from what we can have today in Qtopia and Om, but I have added some features and polished them a little. So.. here you go: Main idea: http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=structure.png And concept arts. http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=artconcept1.png http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=artconcept2.png http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=artconcept3.png What is your opinion? Say what you like, and what you don't? Make your own pics, share it with us. Free the imagination! Re: Debian on the FreeRunner -- now official
Hi Has someone tried to install debian through qtopia? For me, running script stops at the moment, when it prints: E: Qtopia wants to continually access /media/card. You need to stop it with 'killall qpe' and then restart installation! That command restarts x (am I right?), but does not resolve the problem, which appears once again, and again, and.. Any idea how to stop Qtopia from accesing sd card?
