I would too, if I knew the first thing about physics, vectors, and
accelerometry.

Yeah, you're the guy whose blog gave me the idea. I never heard of it again.
If you won a competition with it, it must work to some extent... Is there
any way to do it yet? I don't need a whole lot of precision, as long as it
doesn't skip all over the screen like a bad optical mouse. :P

They are accurate enough, but the kernels drivers/code are very
unstable, I only can reach that with a very old kernel.

But you could use it by rotating as in iput device for

I am sorry to ruin your dreams, but the accelerometer is nowhere
accurate enough for this to work. It only really works well for
rotations (since the gravity then changes).

I'm interested in this application (as a tester...the only contribute
that I can do, sorry).
What do you think about the FR also as a USB mouse (in order to charge
it when you use it)?
Cheers

FR as wireless mouse

2009-02-27 Thread The Digital Pioneer
OK, so it's been on the wiki for a while now, to use the FR and
accelerometers as a wireless mouse. I even bought a bluetooth USB adapter so
I could use it as such, since I was under the impression it was already done
in Remoko. It's not, all I got was a wireless touchpad. I already HAVE a
touchpad on my laptop, thank you. :P So is anyone ever going to do this?
