could you try to change the als state file to one that disables the speaker when that noise occurs? I have this issue every so often as well. QTE provides alsactl, from what I can see. But what state file should I restore? I'm also using QTE 4.4.2, and I get this behaviour consistently after I configure a gprs internet connection. On Saturday I noticed it for the first time without trying to configure a gprs connection - but I'm not sure what triggered it. I normally try to reboot every couple of days, but hadn't in a while... It was fine after a reboot... Hi, I had this issue only once : during a call I wanted to toggle some of the options (headset or headphone I don't remember) on. Had this loud noise and...rebooted.
