Thanks for your answer. After some additional research (fairly chaotic, it appeared I can't flash anything), I managed to shed some more light on the problem: - It cut the download at some 50 MB no matter what image I was using - after connecting the cable to another computer (no intermediate cables) it flashed o it went faster than ever (maybe because I didn't use root account on that computer before as normal user could run it just fine) o it was a stable version of a distro I'm using (the other computer has *some* stability issues)
