Okay, unicode messages that make problems are very much welcome. If you
could try with a recent version of ogsmd that would be even better.

If you know which index that PDU has you can dump that PDU through
mickeyterm:

r...@om-gta02:/usr/sbin# mickeyterm
read history from /home/root/.mickeyterm_history
<--- Mickey's Term V2.9.1 @ /dev/pts/0 --->
AT-Command Interpreter ready
AT+CMEE=2;+CRC=1
OK
at+cmgr=25
at+cmgr=25
+CMGR: 3,,34
07919471071601B60C9194711032547618F4F29C0E6A97E7F3F0B90CBAA7E968901EFD769741

OK

If you don't know which message causes the problems you can also dump
them all:

at+cmgl=4
+CMGL: 1,1,,125
[...]
+CMGL: 2,1,,138
[...]
+CMGL: 3,1,,155
[...]

and so on..

Do you still have the message that caused the problem? It would be good
to fix ogsmd if there's a specific PDU that causes a problem.

Try putting you SIM-card in another phone.

I had a similar issue once when I received a MMS(?). At that time I used
SHR but I flashed FSO as well trying to get is to work again and with
with FSO Zhone showed the SMS icon as disabled. On an old Ericsson phone
I could see that I received a garbled SMS (probably an MMS) and by
removing that everything started to work again.

Good luck.

it just says that:
2000-02-01 03:39:05,276 INFO retrieving messagebook...

and nothing is received, when i click on sms icon i get:
2000-02-01 03:42:58,625 INFO IDLE STATE = busy

its strange, since when i get new sms zhone seems aware of this ( there
are logs that new message is received )

looks like somekind of timeout, when i tried
http://lindi.iki.fi/lindi/openmoko/dump-sms

i have received:
03:39:19 cbMessagebookError org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not
receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not
send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply
timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

[frameworkd]
version = 1
log_to = syslog

and

[ogsmd]
modemtype = ti_calypso
ti_calypso_deep_sleep = never
log_level = DEBUG

in /etc/frameworkd.conf should help. Then just see syslog for the debug info.
