I am also there, this is the why I am so frightened without a test image.

Thanks for FDOM,

Hi all,
I simply don't know what is going on before launch a new version of FDOM!

Remoko was working with the last image but before launch the last
images it was not tested again.

The GPS Sub-Menu was not tested too, because it is one which still
working after choose an app, making impossible open a new Sub-Menu,
unlike Config Sub-Menu that work smoothly.

We should make a RC before launch a FDOM or something; FDOM is so cool
and have so much potential that I try to use it every day, all the
apps.

 Hi all,
I simply don't know what is going on before launch a new version of FDOM!

Remoko was working with the last image but before launch the last

The last image was generated from a standard 2008.9 image executing
the FDOMizer script.
I forget to add a the opkg install necessary library in FDOMizer

The GPS Sub-Menu was not tested too, because it is one which still
working after choose an app, making impossible open a new Sub-Menu,

Strange, I will take a look, because in theory is the same script with
different params :-/

 We should make a RC before launch a FDOM or something;
I totally agree and we are working hard to have a beter infrastructure
to be able to make a more solid FDOM (well as solid as a bunch of
volunteers guided by a noob can be) and as the community news letter
announce we will build the next FDOM release using OpenEbedded tools.
Trying to make it more reliable on versioning and able to update
trough opkg update/upgrade
FDOM is so cool
and have so much potential that I try to use it every day, all the
 apps.

Openmoocow, Duke Nukem etc don't start if the accelerometers are failing. To
me, this happens after the first suspend cycle. Reboot to get these apps
working.

I cannot confirm the freezes as FDOM was quite stable here in terms of system
freezes.

It is slow. yes. But it is not FDOM but the qtopia apps on X11 (hence also
OM-2008.x suffers this problem). They make every Phone related stuff real pain.

Anyway, I have been using FDOM as my daily phone for quite some time now. Only
the last week I used my old phone again because I decided to try out android
on my freerunner.

I had the same problems with FDOM 20081023. I flashed back to FDOM 20080927.
FDOM 20080927 is much more stable and I have been using it as my everyday
phone for a few weeks now.

Hi

+1
FDOM is a good dmonstration of what can be done, but I encountered exactly
the same instabilities/bugs/slow downs. This is why I keep Qtopia for now
(waiting for a good GPS application..)
