[Compiz] [Bug 1281370] Re: Unity should use Normal resize mode by default
When resizing windows the decorator should probably wait for the window content to finish drawing until the window gets resized further. Currently, it looks like there are really bad visual artefacts (at least normal people would perceive it as such) in some applications like LibreOffice or Chromium. Especially in Chromium: Create a new tab and resize the window to change its width/height ratio. You'll see that the thumbnails will move around, causing a redraw in the window content which is not synchronized with the decoration. I might be picky about this but in its current state, normal resize doesn't look good to me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1281370 Title: Unity should use Normal resize mode by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1281370/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Compiz] [Bug 1282782] [NEW] Newest compiz/unity has decided that it owns my Alt key
Public bug reported: gnome-terminal has a setting that intentionally stops Alt grabs for menus (Edit - Keyboard Shortcuts - Enable Menu Access), which I've always used to allow me to type Alt-F (and others) in my terminals. In the past, this always worked great, and I could type Alt-F in, say, mutt, to change my From address. As of the latest uploads, I'm now reduced to the awkward Esc-F, because Alt-F brings up the file menu, no matter how much I wish it wouldn't. Pretty please fix this regression. (I assume the same annoyance would be happening on my attempts to use Alt-[1-0] in irssi, if gnome-terminal had a menu whose shortcut was a digit, but thankfully it doesn't.) ** Affects: compiz Importance: High Status: Triaged ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1282782 Title: Newest compiz/unity has decided that it owns my Alt key To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1282782/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Compiz] [Bug 1282900] [NEW] compiz static window switcher no longer displaying window titles after upgrade
Public bug reported: I have my Unity desktop configured to use the static application switcher plugin. After upgrading to compiz 1:0.9.11+14.04.20140218-0ubuntu1 (and related packages) today, and restarting my session, I find that the window switcher no longer displays window titles. This is a major regression - the whole reason I'm using the static switcher is because a thumbnail-based picker is useless for distinguishing between many similar-looking windows! I was going to look at tracking this down in the code, but the previous version I had installed, 1:0.9.10+13.10.20131011-0ubuntu4, has no matching commit in the compiz bzr branch; there are no per-upload tags, and the changelog deltas are inserted on top of a tree that doesn't match what was uploaded. So it's not very practical to track this back to a related commit. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1282900 Title: compiz static window switcher no longer displaying window titles after upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1282900/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
