[Compiz] [Bug 1293740] Re: Shaded windows minimized automatically

2014-04-05 Thread arm-c
I tend to utilize shaded windows (and always on top) a lot in my work
flow. This is a key element that I have LOVED about linux since way
back when i first started using the OS (2007) as my full time desktop
OS.

This really needs to get fixed... sure I can work around it... but I am
sure others are affected as it is a fairly common linux Desktop
Environment feature.

[Compiz] [Bug 1176898] Re: Grid: Snap animation uses wrong window

2014-04-05 Thread PBS
** Description changed:

This is to do with the grid plugin in raring. When a window is snapped
the animation uses the contents and position of the currently focused
window, which is not always the same as the window being snapped. Steps
  to reproduce:

  - Open Synaptic (for example), and do Edit>Search to create a random modal
window, then snap the main window to an edge.
  - The modal window gets animated, even though the main window gets snapped in
the end.

  OR

  - Open something which takes a while to create a window - libreoffice for
example.
  - While it's opening start dragging another window. When libreoffice has
created its window, snap the one being dragged.
+
+ OR MOST SIMPLY OF ALL
+
+ - Start dragging a window, alt-tab to another window while dragging, the try
to snap
+ the first window.

[Compiz] [Bug 1200829] Re: Regression: Enabling typical bindings in "Desktop-based Viewport Switching" breaks scrollwheel scrolling in some windows with a usb mouse on a laptop

2014-04-05 Thread Doug Barton
WindowMaker had the ability to scroll desktops with the mouse wheel 15
years ago. Xubuntu has it now.

It is completely unclear to me what is preventing this being fixed in
compiz.

[Compiz] [Bug 1232299] Re: Compiz doesn't undo profile change after processing upgrade

2014-04-05 Thread Ryan Tandy
There are some test packages for trusty in ppa:rtandy/lp1232299

Does anyone else affected have a trusty system they could test that on?
For me, my own session and the guest session both work well, under
Flashback (Compiz) and Unity.

I experienced a Unity crash one time, but now I can't reproduce it, so I
don't know whether my changes caused it.
