[Compiz] [Bug 1292830] Re: Resuming from sleep makes black borders around windows appear

2016-06-09 Thread Hans Deragon
I am back on the Nouveau driver and never have this issue with this
driver (2 weeks of using it). The problem is either with the NVIDIA
proprietary driver or Compiz (or something else).

Adding NVIDIA as a project affected by this bug. Not sure exactly where
the problem is.

** Also affects: nvidia
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

[Compiz] [Bug 1292830] Re: Resuming from sleep makes black borders around windows appear

2016-05-31 Thread Hans Deragon
Can someone nominate this issue for Xenial? Experiencing this also with
16.04, NVIDIA proprietary driver 340.96 (tested according to the
'Software & Updates / Additional Drivers' dialog), Quadro FX 880M.

For a week, I did not have this problem when using the open source
Nouveau driver. I think this problem is related to the proprietary
driver.

2015-01-08 Thread Hans Deragon
Still present in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Thar. But in my case, I see
the window moving away by animation, and then it returns spontaneously
back to the current viewport.

[Compiz] [Bug 1329811] Re: Static Application Switcher has no window/background / Cannot figure out what window is selected

2014-12-30 Thread Hans Deragon
It is a bug, since in some circumstances, you cannot tell which window
is selected as the border has the same colour as the background.
Compiz's static window switcher should provide the following features:

- Optional background window (with transparency would be cool)
- Two coloured border to provide contrast. Colours should be selectable.
Default, would be black and red according to me

In an ideal world, all of these options should be part of a theme.

** Attachment added: Which window is selected? You cannot tell.

Any chances to have this fix backported to Precise Pangolin 12.04? If
so, when can we expect it?
