[Compiz] [Bug 815996] Re: Desktop occasionally freezes/locks up when switching workspaces
I think I set it to Won't Fix because other people had set it to Triaged, or Fixed Released incorrectly. It's marked as Won't Fix in Xenial, but if people are able to confirm that it's fixed in a later release, then people should be free to try and back port to Xenial. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/815996 Title: Desktop occasionally freezes/locks up when switching workspaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/815996/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Compiz] [Bug 1521302] Re: gnome-terminal maximize than un-maximize behaves odd
This bug report was quite helpful for me. I have this exact symptom, but in LXDE using openbox (3.6.1-1ubuntu2) in Lubuntu. Primarily with gnome- terminal, also. In particular, the hint about the window resizing correctly, then jumping back up, and the patch itself reordering the events sent to the window helped as I could verify the double movement as I can see a flicker the first time, and no flicker subsequent times (because both states are large/black). I'll try to follow up with openbox for a fix, however it seems to me that the VTE/gnome-terminal code is also a bit iffy to be affected in this way when little else seems to be. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1521302 Title: gnome-terminal maximize than un-maximize behaves odd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1521302/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

I disabled the screensaver in my tests, and it still crashed - just later on.
