Re: [Computer-go] GoGui dead?

I use GoGui. Does it matter if it is updated? The GTP is still in draft
after 14 years.

[Computer-go] GoGui dead?

2016-10-03 Thread David Ongaro
The GoGui Website on "http://gogui.sourceforge.net
“ states: "This software is no longer actively
developed or supported.” And Indeed there doesn’t seem to be any updates since
beginning of the year (and that is after a 2 year hiatus).

So what are you using as an open source GTP client?

Thanks,

David O.

Thanks Nick. I think I'll have the time next weekend to participate.

2016-10-03 Thread Nick Wedd
Hi Urban,

I would say, in a 9x9 tournament, being able to beat GNU Go at 9x9 is
enough. I hope you will enter it for the Formal division.

Re: [Computer-go] October KGS bot tournament

2016-10-03 Thread Urban Hafner
How do you define “beating GnuGo”? My bot is a standard MCTS bot that is
considerably stronger on 9x9 than it is on 19x19 and it has no problem
beating GnuGo on 9x9 but is much weaker than GnuGo on 19x19. Which division
should I apply for?
