I never say never,  but let's just say it's extremely unlikely.   

There has been some talk about what is the correct komi.   If the 
correct komi is 8.0 I
would leave it at 7.5.If the correct komi is 7.0 I would leave it at 
7.5.   If anyone can

convince me the correct komi is 9.0,  I would change it to 8.5.

I'd be very surprised if anyone was in a position to make a guarantee
about komi. There have been some many differing views for so long on
the issue...

I just wanted to confirm that there are no plans for changing the komi
on CGOS to anything but 7.5 ever.  I just started a 7400 cpu-hour
computation to generate training data for my Go bot and it is
inextricably linked to the komi, I will have to regenerate training
data (and then retrain) my bot if I want it to play properly with any
other komi (and of course boardsize).
