[CGUYS] adobeupdater.exe
I'm surprised to not see any reports of problems with adobeupdater.exe hogging the cpu, following an upgrade to Adobe Reader 8.0 and 8.1. Maybe it's peculiar to my firewall program - Sunbelt Personal Firewall... I'm not having the problem, but I glanced at the thread you quoted and FYI the renaming option should only be tried if the *better* option of turning off the updater in Preferences doesn't work. Adobe updater on my Mac launches itself only if I invoke it. It grabs any update info, and that seems to be about it. No issues with me. Used it last night to grab an update to Photoshop for camera raw purposes.
