Re: ever "ready" state

2014-07-18 Thread Henrique Abreu
Hi Jukka,

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to have an Online state just so "cmst" and
other ConnMan UIs correctly represent the connection state.
Cmst for example, only shows the wifi symbol with signal strength when it
goes online, the "Ready" icon is simpler.

But more importantly, I am online! Showing "ready" is just a mistake.
There's no proxy or any other special setting on my home wifi. It's plain
simple.

I can send logs, debug info or whatever if you need me to.

Thanks,

Henrique Abreu

"Ready" state is a good state as is. ConnMan will stay in this state if
it for some reason cannot verify internet connection. Why do you insist
that you need to be in "Online" state?

The internet connection check is done during the service connection
phase or if there are multiple services connected at the some time and
the other "online" services is disconnected. You cannot manually trigger
online check.

One typical reason why online check might fail, is that if you are using
proxies and your proxy configuration is not correct (either done
manually or automatically via pacrunner daemon)

ever "ready" state

2014-07-17 Thread Henrique Abreu
Hi,

I installed connman from git on my Arch, but I'm having an issue.

My wifi connection never goes to "Online" state, it's stuck on "Ready".
This is 100% reproducible, whenever I boot the system it never goes
"Online". It only goes if I disable and re-enable my wifi.

Can I trigger an "Online" check manually? Or do you guys have any other
suggestion on how I can fix this?
