BI Developer for a duration of 6 months working onsite from our Portland,
Oregon office.  We would want to see resumes and then if meet our

*Position Summary:*



Provide timely, accurate and actionable data to ensure successful business
decision-making.  Gather requirements from business users, determine the
best reporting solution, design, build and deploy reports and dashboards
using a variety of front end visualization tools (Halo BI, SSRS, Atlas,
Excel).  Play multiple roles including business analyst, architect, report
developer, SQL programmer, visualization designer and end user trainer.



*Essential Functions:*



·Translate business requirements into well-developed reporting
solutions to meet business needs.

·Develop standards, best practices and repeatable processes to
ensure data standardization and consistency.

·Build and maintain project files for the extraction,
transformation and loading of organization data from multiple data sources.

·Design and implement SSAS cubes.

·Develop reports from Microsoft Dynamics AX using SSRS.

·Ensure data accuracy by performing cube validation.

·Create data visualizations that clearly convey key insights that
are actionable.

·Handle and prioritize Ad-Hoc reporting requests as they arise.

·Support Salesforce Marketing Cloud with query requests and daily
build maintenance.

·Build and maintain documentation related to the company’s database
environment.



*Education and/or Experience:*



·Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.

·Minimum of 3 years of experience as a business intelligence
database developer or related field.

·Experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS &
SSAS) required.

·Expert with SQL and with ability to write complex SQL queries.

·Strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database
architectures.

·Extensive knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning
techniques.

·Ability to understand business processes.

·Advanced knowledge of a manufacturing environment is preferred,
including supply chain systems, sourcing, logistics and finance.

·Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred.

·Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication and
teamwork.

·Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

·Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and
initiative.

·Effectively prioritize and follow through on assignments and
projects.

A new resource request to staff a senior Business Objects developer
position for ACRS/SMART project.



Works with business users, project team to understand the application and
reporting requirements.

Designs BO universes to accommodate complex business reporting requirements
for desktop and web intelligence and XCelsius reporting.

Architecture the business requirements and processes and build universes
using complex BO features and design.

Creates derived tables as needed to  resolve complex reporting issues.

Develops and tunes the PL/SQL queries to improve BO reports performance.
Develops and implements aggregate aware function and @ variables.

Develops Deski and Webi  reports using cross table, drill down, prompts,
dimensional and other BO features. Provides production support for existing

Redesigns and modifies existing universes to accommodate the business
reporting needs in maintenance.

Helps convert the existing Deski reports to Webi using reporting tool and
resolve any errors.

Coordinates UAT testing of the BO reports with users and technical team.

Creates user accounts using Infoview admin module and assign roles for user

Develops security features users, groups and folders for the BO project

Creates canned adhoc and dashboard reports using BO universe. Experience in
