*Responsibilities *

As a Support Engineer you will represent Microsoft in customer 
communication via phone and email to assist customers in resolving 
technical issues involving Microsoft products and services. You will have 
the opportunity to foster positive customer relationships and build

•   Provide customer escalation analysis and leveraging data to 
drive further improvements in the platform, tooling improvements

•   Identify and drive requirements for increased customer 
self-supportability

•   Identify and drive implementation of customer centric 
mitigation levers and playbooks for Operations

•   Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, 
while working with diverse audiences including highly technical IT 
professionals, developers, architects, and executive management.

•   Exhibit leadership through personal responsibility, 
accountability and teamwork.

•   Act as a technical focal point in cooperative relationships 
with other companies.

•   Manage crisis situations that may involve technically 
challenging issues and diverse audiences.

•   Own and resolve technically complex mission critical or 
politically hot customer issues

•   Be responsive to customer needs which may sometimes require 
outside of normal business hours or on-call rotation.

*Qualifications Requirements:*

•   Experience with Big Data or Analytics Products and Services 
(such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HDInsight, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, 
Kafka, or Streaming technologies) OR Bachelor of Science degree in Computer 
Science, with concentration in Data Science

•   Experience in customer support, product support, technical 
support, IT Admin support, Consulting, systems development, product 
development, network operations, software engineering, or I.T. consulting, 
customer or technical support or consulting or end-user support.

•   Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security 
screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements 
include but are not limited to the following specialized security 
screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be 
required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer 
and every two years thereafter. 

 

*Preferred Qualifications:*

•   Programming & debugging experience

•   Java, Python, R, Scala, REST concepts, C/C++, JavaScript,

•   Experience with Windows and Linux. 

•   Knowledge and experience with the Open Source ecosystem.

•   Experience in RDMS such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft 
BI technologies including SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI, SQL 
Server Reporting Service is a plus.

•   Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to do the right thing 
under pressure and tight deadlines.

•   Great interpersonal and communication skills-both oral and 
written-and success in partnering with groups inside and outside of 
Microsoft.

*Description:*

· Create, execute and deliver QA and Testing artifacts (plans,
cases, scripts, data, and metrics) to assure the developed application
conforms to the requirements, design and standards.

· Identify, document, triage and track issues found during test
execution

· Understands, follows, and help improve all applicable SDLC and
testing processes and collaborate with the development team

· Escalate risks that will directly impact project timelines and
deliverables

· Collaborate with the Business and project team members to review
and clarify project scope and requirements

· Define and document the test approach/strategy for the
project/sprint

· Conduct Test Suite reviews with Business Analysts, Developers and
project team members

· Test execution of business applications, online applications,
document processing capability, and reporting deliverables

· Validate data and reports

· Report QA metrics and testing status to project and application
team members.

· Identify, document and track issues found during testing

· Coordinate with developers and project team members to triage and
resolve issues

· Work closely with application team and manager on prioritization
of tasks

· Ensure quality and on-time delivery in all assigned work.



*Required Basic Qualifications: *

· 3 or more years of IT QA and testing experience



*3 or more years of experience with the following: *

· Software development or support in a QA and testing capacity

· SAP testing experience, including analysis of requirements and
design, translation of those to test requirements and test cases and
execution of tests, reporting and mediation of defects and progress
reporting.

· 3 or more years in software QA and testing role in SAP

· A positive and flexible individual with a successful history of
working in a fast-paced, client-focused, and dynamic environment • Passion
for quality and great attention to detail

· Competent MS Word and MS Excel skills (tables, formulas, reports)
