*Travel:*

*Not a lot of Travel – maybe once a month – in the US 2 or 3 days – If it’s 
Mexico it will be a week – account for 2 days travel back and forth. *

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and support of 
Business Systems Solutions in Finance and controlling activities with a 
focus on the Americas Operations with global and business collaboration

Ensure the continuity, consistency and alignment of the Business Systems 
and related process interaction within area of responsibility with respect 
to POAI standards.

Provide daily support to finance and controlling key users regarding to 
business system solution

 

Work is performed in a fast paced environment within tight time 
constraints.  Unusual hours is  required on an occasional basis.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Regional Support of ERP application environment; enhancements, issue 
resolution, and process optimization.

Partner with cross-functional teams, facilitate the functional domain 
transactions and solve complex business problems.

Collaborate with related Business functions for execution strategies of 
project implementation

Communicate status and accomplishments regularly to stakeholders, team 
members and Regional IS Manager

Analyze, define and recommend business process improvement initiatives

Coordinate operational and change management activities for finance and 
controlling.

Collaborate with finance and controlling team to ensure standard system 
processes are in place in the plants and TCs.

Provide necessary trainings, daily support to Key users and end users when 
needed. 

Handle helpdesk ticket and ensure Level 2 support for issues within FI/CO 
domain.

Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests and prototype 
activities

Maintain open issues list, risks and vital signs

Participate and provide input to global projects that support the region

Map business functions with standard tools using due diligence to ensure 
global consistency, Assure configuration integrity of the SAP application 
(FI/CO) across multiple landscapes

Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data with awareness of IS & 
Business strategy

Participate in setting and deploying Business System standards within 
finance and controlling  function

Develop and maintain software and user documentation  while participating 
in or leading user training

Communicate status and accomplishments regularly to stakeholders and 
project team members

Develop technical specifications based upon implementation strategy

 

Develop and maintain software and user documentation up to date

Facilitate key user network for Americas region and advocate the best 
practice of FI/CO system usage and knowledge. 

Other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager

Must successfully complete all Plastic Omnium required training

Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures

Must comply with all safety rules and regulations

Provide support to other positions as needed and complete other duties as 
assigned

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum 7 years of SAP FI/CO consultant experience 

Understanding of finance accounting, balance sheet, P Finance working 
background is a plus.

Master the transactions for FI/CO functionalities, like AP, AR, fix asset, 
GL, cost center, profit center, internal order, period closing, 
reconciliation of reporting  and other controlling concepts.

Master banking interface, EDI message for payment and cash application, 
self-billing and  retro-billing process, etc.

Understand the integration of SAP FI module with SD.

Experiences for supporting closing and analyze differences and problem 
solving, etc.

Strong understanding of common application and infrastructure tools and 
systems. 

Must be able to manage time and determine priorities.

Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external 
customers

Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data.

Ability to adapt tools and keep up with market evolution.

Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Growth-oriented, self-motivated, responsible and dynamic individual.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Professional verbal and written communication skills
