Job title: Database, Couchbase / Oracle Engineer Location: Miami, FL Duration: 12 Months with Possible extension Required Skills: • Solid knowledge of DBMS fundamentals \ 8+ years experience as a DBA with Oracle, Couchbase, or other DBMSs \ Ability to identify and solve performance issues \Proven knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system Minimum 8 years experience with database automation tools or creation of scripts. • Minimum 8 years Data Technology experience to include Enterprise Data Management (for example, Data Modeling, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Data Architecture, or Data Warehouse, ETL). • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: • Understanding of data models and entity relationship diagrams. • Knowledge and experience in database design and administration. • Data modeling or design experience; Analytics or Data Mining. • "Industry" Data Models (i.e., IBM, Teradata, ADRM). • Data Quality tools (i.e., Informatica, Trillium, IBM QualityStage, SAS/DataFlux) • Business Intelligence Competency Centers (BICC). • Platforms (Linux, VMWare, Amazon AWS, Oracle, Couchbase, Cassandra, Liquibase, GoldenGate). Responsibilities: • Works with DBAs and SMEs to build framework for all aspects of database automation with respect to deployment, configuration, validation, maintence, and troubleshooting • Works with DBAs and SMEs to build framework for all aspects of test data and strategy needs with respect to data sub setting, test data generation and automation, data masking and testing methodology to align with or define relevant new TDM Strategy • Works with DBAs and SMEs to build framework for all aspects of database automation with respect to deployment, configuration, validation, maintence, and troubleshooting • Establishes a thorough understanding of functional applications’ business process information, related data flow. • Ability to update/develop and maintain ETL scripts and other automation as required. • Ability to work with a mix of technologies (Oracle, Couchbase, Cassandra, etc.) and Java, NodeJ, ETL jobs, Liquibase, different File formats (XML/MISMO/CLDF/EDF), etc. • Collaborates with application SMEs and project teams in respective application areas to understand and leverage current processes; address gaps where additional transformation may be needed • Leads the analysis of support requests and automation of support tasks. • Defines the automation tasks and reviews with requestor or SME. • Creates and validates database automation scripts and tools.
