*Scope of work*
• Handle routine questions & support requests related to the SuperNova AWS
environment
• Front-line support for AWS-related issues in SuperNova
• Handle new VPC builds using established procedures and tooling
• Handle other operational changes such as URL whitelisting, when no
self-service tooling exists
• Handle routine changes such as vendor egress IP changes
• Update AWS/VPC documentation as needed
• Implement changes/improvements to the environment under the direction of
SuperNova Engineering, For example, migrating from per-VPC VPN tunnels to
using a
Transit Gateway.
• Make all production changes by modifying and deploying Terraform templates
*Required Skills*
• Strong experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, etc)
• Experience being on a 24x7 oncall rotation
• Strong familiarity with TCP/IP networking & VPNs
• DevOps-level familiarity with Python and Bash scripting
• Strong customer support and production support mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
*Desired Skills*
• Experience with Terraform in an AWS environment
• Familiarity with Sophos and/or Palo Alto Networking in a content
filtering configuration
• Experience with AWS Workspaces
• Experience with Windows desktop administration & Microsoft Active
