Re: [Coworking] Re: Looking for a platform/software to allow our coworking members communicate with each other. Any idea?

2013-09-17 Thread Gunasekar C. Rajaratnam
Exactly Craig.. if most members are already active on a popular site like
Facebook, they will be most comfortable with a Facebook secret group or
closed group then log on to something else.

The coworkers here simply created a private Facebook group for internal
communications and announcements. It works well for our simple needs.

Re: [Coworking] Lessons learned from failing?

2011-08-04 Thread Gunasekar C. Rajaratnam
I have just started but learning from mistakes.
My first lessons relate to choice of location, bootstrapping with minimal
investments and partnerships with investors. Early stages yet and have not
quit despite odds. I know it will improve as I find more support and
participation. I hope to learn from shared lessons here.
Thank you David for asking this question.

I’m sure many of us who haven’t started our coworking space yet, or are in
the early stages, would love to learn from those spaces who have sadly run
 their course.

What lessons did you have to learn the hard way? What caused your spaces
to fail? What pitfalls can we avoid?

 Thank you!

[Coworking] beginner questions

2011-08-04 Thread Gunasekar C. Rajaratnam
I have just started Coworking delhi without investing anything yet.
My questions to experienced people here is:
what is the profile of the people who co work in each center?
Are most of them in a center in related professions?
Or Are they diverse and unitied only by virtue of the location of the
center?
Should a coworking center target people from specific professions initially?
i look forward to learning from you.
