 I guess it is time to choose a different package name for CPAN-Index... or
maybe remove it from CPAN completely.

2018-01-11 Thread Alceu R. de Freitas Jr.
Hello Andreas,

Thanks for the compliments. But I guess that I didn't reach that milestone
yet...

I had to manually delete CPAN/Index.pm because it was installed in my site_perl
directory, so it didn't overwrite the CPAN distribution.

CPAN-Index is already blocked, things should run (kind of) smoothly by now.

Regards,

Alceu

Congrats, I already noticed your achievement in the statics tables. Well
done!

You caught the flu. If you have CPAN::Index version 0.01 you have to
stop and reinstall CPAN.pm. CPAN.pm never had a CPAN::Index 0.01. Simply
overwrite it, verify you did so successful and continue.

And block ADAMK/CPAN-Index-0.01.tar.gz

Good luck,

smoker and "Index version 1.93 required--this is only version 0.01" errors

2018-01-10 Thread Alceu R. de Freitas Jr.
Hello all,
I finally was able to get a smoker to go around the 37097 distribution
available on CPAN.Despite the personal milestone, I see those errors and I'm
not sure if it is a problem with the distribution itself (I believe it is the
later):

Smoker: testing lastlog.pm.gz [37095/37097] at Wed Jan 10 18:12:17 2018

Smoker: testing CORBA-IDLtree-1.6 [37097/37097] at Wed Jan 10 18:12:18 2018

CPAN::Index version 1.93 required--this is only version 0.01 at

If the problem lies with the distribution, maybe I should "blacklist" them in
the distroprefs?
Thanks,Alceu
