[cross-project-issues-dev] Visit count on a page on eclipse.org?

2018-02-12 Thread Leo Ufimtsev
Hello,

Do we have any sort of visit/hit count on eclipse.org?
If so, do contributors have access to it?

I'd like to know how many people visit this page on a daily/weekly/monthly
basis:
https://www.eclipse.org/swt/snippets/

Or I'd be happy with parent also:
https://www.eclipse.org/swt/

Thank you.

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] SimRel - TM contribution has been disabled

2018-02-12 Thread Doug Schaefer
Nick, who specifically on that “team” do you think should get those changes in
for you? To help, here is the commit log from the git repo.

http://git.eclipse.org/c/tm/org.eclipse.tm.git/log/

Kaloyan Raev is the only active committer and from his note earlier in this
chain, he has removed the dependency from the projects he works on.

We really need to be crystal clear at this point what the plan is.

Doug.

AFAIK it's out.

But if I find time to submit the changes from my/Rob's github fork as gerrit
review(s) back to the master fork on git.eclipse.org,
that team can evaluate it, merge it, and maybe decide they want to be included
for M6. Then it'll be up to the Planning Council to approve the late addition.

At least that's my interpretation of the rules. EMO might have a different
view. :)

[cross-project-issues-dev] Bug 530887 - Mark Dirtyable field from Part Descriptor for deletion

2018-02-12 Thread Lars Vogel
Hi,

we are planning to mark the field Dirtyable from the MPartDescriptor
for deletion.

See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=530887

This flag was never used by the Eclipse IDE or the default
implementation for RCP. Also, the JavaFX RCP port from Tom does not
use it.

Best regards, Lars

[cross-project-issues-dev] Photon EPP Repo Inconsistent

2018-02-12 Thread Ed Merks
I noticed that the EPP Photon composite repo is inconsistent right now.
I noticed this because this familiar problem is cropping up every time I
try to do completion in JDT:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.eclipse.jface.internal.text.html.HTMLPrinter.insertPageProlog(Ljava/lang/StringBuilder;ILorg/eclipse/swt/graphics/RGB;Lorg/eclipse/swt/graphics/RGB;Ljava/lang/String;)V
    at
org.eclipse.jdt.internal.ui.text.java.AbstractJavaCompletionProposal.getAdditionalProposalInfo(AbstractJavaCompletionProposal.java:610)
    at
org.eclipse.jface.text.contentassist.AdditionalInfoController$Timer$2$1.run(AdditionalInfoController.java:113)

    at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:56)

The file
/home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/photon/compositeContent.jar
does not contain a reference to
/home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/photon/M5/
so when you try to install Photon M5 from the release train composite
you actually end up with Photon M4 which seems to cause some
inconsistent of JDT and JFace Text.

Note that I see the following in
/home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/releases/photon/:

type='org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.metadata.repository.CompositeMetadataRepository'
version='1.0.0'>

 location='http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/photon/'/>

So while it might point at M5 via 201802021000, it points at an EPP
composite that does not include M5 packages so you'll definitely end up
with M4 packages and whatever those requirements decide to pull in,
which seems to be a mixture of M4 and M5.
