Re: [Csgo_servers] steam:// URI not working with passworded servers

Nobody experiencing these issues? :(

 Hi,

we are having big issues connecting to passworded servers from windows
(windows 8 64bit in my case) using an URI like:

 steam://connect/xx.xx.xx.xx:27015/mypassword

where xx.xx.xx.xx:27015 is the gameserver ip:port
 and
 mypassword is the password set

basically when clicking on that link we always get BAD PASSWORD

we have then to open the console on the client, type

 password mypassword

 then

 connect xx.xx.xx.xx:27015

and at that point it connects properly without any error.

Are we using the URI inwrong way?
same happens when using an URI like: steam://connect/xx.xx.xx.xx:27015/

steam fires up, requests for a password, we fill in the correct
password but in game we get BAD PASSWORD

I would imagine nobody else has tried it. Kinda defeats the purpose of
password protection if you can just click on a link and connect to it.

If I remember correctly, you have to name your mapgroup mg_bomb for it
to work in classic competitive.

Re: [Csgo_servers] Workshop Collection

2013-03-04 Thread Absurd Minds
I have experienced that problem once or twice but generally it works
so I always chalked it up to the workshop being difficult.

Anyone else notice an issue with 'editing' a collection?

I created a collection with the basic SE maps to test a mod of mine.. I then
edited that collection adding in more maps. Once i hit save and continue I
clicked I'm Done Editing and restarted my server... The new maps wouldn't
download... I deleted my /maps/workshop folder and started the server again.
This time it only downloaded the original maps from the collection before i
edited it. I deleted that collection and created a new one with ALL the maps
i wanted and changed the host_workshop_collection parameter on my cmdline
and it downloaded all the maps in that collection...

Is that a known issue that you can't edit an existing collection and it
 update to the server?
