Re: [Csgo_servers] IP Rate Limiting?
I am getting these same IP Rate Limiting notices both server side and client side. Server side, here is an example of what I'm seeing in my console log (just a sample size, this is basically spamming): IP rate limit under distributed packet load (2504 buckets, 5001 global count), rejecting 46.251.xxx.xxx:8551. IP rate limit under distributed packet load (2503 buckets, 5001 global count), rejecting 91.xxx.xxx.xxx:41993. IP rate limit under distributed packet load (2502 buckets, 5001 global count), rejecting 171.xxx.xxx.xxx:50538. IP rate limit under distributed packet load (2501 buckets, 5001 global count), rejecting 4.41.xxx.xxx:38718. IP rate limit under distributed packet load (2513 buckets, 5001 global count), rejecting 145.91.xxx.xxx:30087 Client side, it looks like this in each of my personal csgo client consoles: IP rate limiting client 192.168.0.2:27005 IP rate limiting client 192.168.0.2:27007 IP rate limiting client 192.168.0.2:27008 IP rate limiting client 192.168.0.2:27006 As far as client side, I don't see this when I am only running one account. If multiple accounts are running from my IP (which are each setup to a different clientport), this spams endlessly in the console of all open game instances.. It does this before I even connect to a server. Right now I have a couple clients open on the PC next to me, just sitting on main menu of CSGO, and they are both spamming the same thing almost simultaneously. Re: [Csgo_servers] Server brought down by attack
As already discussed there is currently no out of the box way to filter these attacks. IP whitelists are what kept my server playable for my regulars during attacks like these. Valve does have a command that can be used to help alleviate the effects of an attack, but it doesn't work as intended.
