Re: [Csgo_servers] Get knives on surf maps

2015-07-28 Thread Ryan Cloherty
@absurd
I agree. Which is why I suggested on changing the trigger entirely.
First it seemed that servers with !knife in the tags were blacklisted,
then some that had it in the name. I know that it's possible to have a
script that uses Sourcequery to go through a list and test for the
!knife trigger but it seems they haven't gone into such detail. I
wouldn't risk it though and changing the trigger entirely would prove
useful.

Yes thats what i mean. The plugin is self writen by us and only give the

But i don't want to get blacklisted because of a plugin which use !knife
 to get a knife :)

If by that you mean that the map disables knives, then of course
having a plugin that enables them by giving ONLY the default knife
should be fine. Jut make sure it isn't the normal !knife plugin.

 What

like that allowed? I don't want to give people knives which are not in
 their

Re: [Csgo_servers] Request to Server Operators

2015-07-18 Thread Ryan Cloherty
Instantmuffin actually has a good point. While I don't agree with
Valve, they could simply release a new source engine binary that tests
itself and won't run with the mods they asked not to be on servers. I
believe this would cause a huge outcry though.

They can do whatever they want though. They can simply update the servers
and add routines so servers report themselves based on certain triggers.

Re: [Csgo_servers] Request to Server Operators

2015-07-18 Thread Ryan Cloherty
It is a possibility though to have a simple source query script go and
look at the public servers and query them with commands such as sm
plugins sm plugins 11(for plugin numbers 11-21) sm plugins 22
(for plugin numbers 22-32) and so on. However this probably won't be
the case as they cannot just see into the plugins directory.

how long (number of ticks) a server holds client aim data while processing
 a backlog of user commands.
 – On Valve servers, GOTV demos will now reliably broadcast and record
players’ viewangles on the ticks when weapons were fired.
