[Csgo_servers] CS:GO 128 tick bandwidth consumption?
So im running my CS:GO 128 tick server with following specs: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU W3520 @ 2.67GHz 24gb RAM 100/100 Internet w/ Unlimited Bandwidth Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server And im having the following issue. I have it set to 14 slot server and still the var is going to like 1.4-2.0 at somepoint. I mean how is that even possible? I have good internet and CPU and still its unplayable for some clients. Any help on this? -- View this message in context: http://csgo-servers.1073505.n5.nabble.com/CS-GO-128-tick-bandwidth-consumption-tp6469.html Sent from the CSGO_Servers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Csgo_servers mailing list Csgo_servers@list.valvesoftware.com https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/csgo_servers

Hi, your CPU is no good at all. You need a way better CPU (faster clockspeed) to handle a 128tick server. Re: [Csgo_servers] CS:GO 128 tick bandwidth consumption?
Just to make this clear, your hardware isn't bad in general, but for csgo servers the most important thing you can have is a high clock frequency, which means that some 3.5 ghz-ish i5 will outperform a 2.6ghz xeon with more cores and ht. this has been criticized on this list for ages and it doesn't seem to be changed anytime soon, so the only option at this point for server providers is to use a suitable hardware for csgo... -- MfG Marc Leuser Am Donnerstag, 27.
