[css-d] Request for validation check
Hi, all: Thanks for all of your past efforts. Could someone please take a look at why this site is not validating. http://www.albanymusic.org/?page_id=182 It's a WordPress site. It was valid yesterday. I don't know what changed or if I changed anything. My suspicion is that the widgets I'm using are the problem. But having removed them as a troubleshooting test only generated another list of supposed errors instead of allowing the page to validate. This is a simple page without any more complex stuff in the body, unlike the other pages. I've done all of my usual debugging tricks, including Firebug and Safari's Web Inspector and I can't see anything obvious. [css-d] Weird Rollover Behavior in latest versions Saf/FF
Hi, All: Can someone take a look at this page and see if 1.) they experience this problem and 2.) if they can offer a solution? The problem is that the drum images on the page, which are floated side-by-side in a UL and use a class called "thumbnails," and are supposed to produce a larger version of each image when each one is hovered, respectively, (and do!) lose their positioning and wind up stacked, one below the other instead of floating side-by-side. So far, when it's happened to me, I've noticed that the top two behave while the ones below go wonky until you refresh the page. Here's the page: http://www.luciacomnes.com/drums.html and here's my CSS: http://www.luciacomnes.com/lc.css I also have stylesheets for IE6 and 7 here: http://www.luciacomnes.com/lc_IE7.css and here: http://www.luciacomnes.com/lc_invalid.css ...FYI... The page validates as of this writing as do the rest of the pages. [css-d] Online vs. Local and ID vs. Class weirdnesses?
Has anyone experienced any of the following? Layout problems or "works doesn't work" depending on if you're looking at the site online (uploaded and refreshed) as opposed to looking at it locally (from your hard drive) or via the internet but through your public folder? [css-d] Laying out CSS for @media print
Can someone list some very basic rules for laying out CSS for printing purposes? What are the... top 5 (or 3) things to know about CSS for print vs. for screen? I recently created stylesheets for print and found myself floundering with the most basic concept of where the uppermost left-hand corner was on the printed page it didn't seem to be the same as the uppermost left-hand corner of the browser window...
