Yes, you do. But read carefully: validator wants COLOR, not
background-color for body:

 Line : 4 (Level : 1) You have no color with your background-color : body

Validator likes to have color and background-color in pairs.

CSS validator wants you to define a (text-) color every time you define a 
background color.
It's supposed to be for contrast reasons, if I understood correctly.
