Clemens Niederberger submitted an update to the

chemmacros

package.

Summary description: A collection of macros to support typesetting
chemistry documents.

Announcement text:

From this version on the packages chemformula, chemgreek and ghsystem
are no longer distributed as part of chemmacros.  As a consequence
chemmacros no longer is a package bundle but a single package.

This update also includes a proposal by Herbert Voß to make the
characters | and ^ active inside \iupac{} in order to use them instead
of the macros \| and \^.

This is technically not a new package: it used to be part of the
chemmacros bundle but from now on (v4.8) it will be distributed on its
own.

Other news: this version fixes a bug in typeseting single bonds that
has been introduced with the last update.
