Borealis City is an Alberta project is it not? Did you know that the Tar
Sands of Alberta have more oil in them than Saudi Arabia and that when all
Tar Sands oil is depleted, a pyramid from the tailings could be built to
a height of 300 miles? Presently the dam from those tailings is the
longest in the world.

Now an interesting DARPA Challenge, after the autonomous road vehicle
challenge would be "Operation Sand Castles". An automous machine must take
sand from a pile, make it into blocks and stack the blocks into a pyramid.

The steppes of the pyramid could be terraced with greenery and
loges-de-corbeaux, atop the pyramid would be right in the middle of the
aurora borealis. What a tourist attraction for Alberta!

And there is even more sand than that in the Sahara.
