Just heard on CBS news that a Concorde supersonic jet has crashed into a hotel just outside of Paris. Can't find any details on the Net yet. Well, they obviously don't want it to turn into a media circus, the way the Diana thing did. Plus which, this is a *Continental* tragedy, affecting Germany and France...a French plane, the pride of Air France...not an affair of les Anglaises. What interests me, though, is the Concorde: what the dickens is happening with that plane? This was apparently one of the engines, not the wing as in the plane the Brits grounded first. Is someone targeting the Concorde? Is this a warning? If so, from whom, and exactly why? Another reason for tightened reins may be more mundane tho as I recall that after the last tragic BritRail tragedy there were many French officials swearing that "such things could not happen in France" and several months later there was a serious rail accident in France that saw French authorities put the "rien" on coverage and now this. Embarrassment can be just as big an inducement to a coverup as a conspiracy can.
