Dear Daily Reckoning reader,
His reputation is sterling. His advice... priceless. And as one
reader suggests, you ignore him at your peril.
I'm speaking, of course, of Dr. Kurt Richebacher.
Apart from his insightful economic analysis, Dr. Kurt Richebacher
cuts quite a figure. He recently spent some time down in the
country with me. Despite being over 80 years old, on the day he
arrived, he came tearing into the drive at Ouzilly behind the
wheel of his own BMW, sporting an all-white suit and flowing
hair... he has a dramatic habit of emphasizing his points by

indicators are all "doctored up." The so-called "hedonic" price
inflator has skewed the economic picture beyond recognition. In
Dr. Richebacher's view, if you plan to rely on the government and
Wall Street statisticians to plan your affairs... you risk losing
everything.
But rather than suffer along with run-of-the-mill investors --
who are more than happy to eat up the dunderheaded blathering
