Although this doesn't say at whom it is directed, it resembles what I said. I guess looking at both sides of any particular issue may appear to be denial of one side or another, if the reader has only considered one side to be possible. My point, as always, is that anything presented as black or white is missing at least part of the story. If a story doesn't have at least two sides told, my view is it may be truth, but not all of the truth. Denial is not a factor when all realistic possibilities are considered. I realize on this list it is much more exciting to have the worst scenarios always be 100% true. I just question whether that is possible. The moon hoax has been presented as 100% we did or 100% we didn't land on the moon. Other possibilities must be denied for the presenters to feel good about their position. What a shame. I particularly object to the concept that the conspirators are superhuman and never make mistakes; that they don't wake up every morning with the same human frailties and problems as everyone else. They are parents, grandparents, and children just like the rest of us. The existence of pure evil is as impossible as the existence of pure good, on the earth I live on. It goes like this: I can prove John Doe lied when he said he was flown to Venus in a UFO; therefore everything John Doe has ever said is also a lie. Senor Stonehouse, don't misconstrue me: i'm not a UFO debunker by any means. nor am i saying what you seem to think i am. let me clarify: if one can prove John Doe's photographs of the craft he supposedly encountered to be hoaxed, one can pretty safely assume that his tale of the encounter is also a work of fiction. it doesn't mean everything he's ever said is also a lie, but it calls into question anything he's said pertaining to the alleged encounter event. My point was supposed to be that if by chance our astronauts were met on the moon by unknowns that were not part of the conventional wisdom, NASA might choose not to inform the public. Thus the doctored photos would be necessary. perhaps, but why lie to the public about something like this? i can fully comprehend that the government has every reason to cover up their relationship with extraterrestrials, but faking photos of the lunar landing seems sort of... tacky. following that up by lying to the public about what the moon is really like (in terms of atmospheric condition, for instance) is just silly, especially when our education (or indoctination, as you so succinctly put it) and our childrens' education is in some way based on their findings. Since when does a NASA apologist say they faked photos of the lunar lander because there's no dust on the landing pads? In a one-hour documentary on Apollo 13 Tuesday on the History Channel there was footage shown that is very suspicious. When the craft is shown from a distance, who is taking the picture? When Armstrong stepped off the ladder, who was shooting the video of him? In the many books by Apollo astronauts I have found but one sentence on this: Deke Slayton said the camera extended from Eagle and there was a grainy black-and-white picture.
