What exactly is known regarding Mrs. Condit, and her background? Smith reportedly claimed she was in love with Condit. She added that he never showed signs of violent tendencies, the sources said. Perhaps because Smith never made any demands or ultimatums on Condit, as Levy may have done? For example, on April 30, the last day Levy was seen, Condit was picked up by staff, had lunch at the White House and worked in Congress for four hours before heading home for dinner with his wife. What exactly does 'worked in Congress' mean? Does he have an eyewitness for every single moment of the day? What exact time did he leave work, and what exact time did he arrive home 'for dinner with his wife'...? Of course, such information is moot if he hired someone else to take care of Levy for him... Smith told investigators she met Condit on a Washington-to-San Francisco flight as he was handing out his business card to her and fellow flight attendants, sources said. Was he only giving his card to the flight attendents, or to everyone else on board? If only to the flight attendents, it would seem that he was looking for something more than potential votes... In late winter, Smith has said she started becoming suspicious that Condit was two-timing her with another woman Strange phrasing to describe an affair with a married man; seems she was okay with the fact that he was married, but started getting pissed off when she discovered she wasn't the only chippy he had on the side... and admitted she once poked around the congressman's condo in Washington to look for evidence but never found anything. Sounds very much like Smith was jealous of Levy...in which case, Smith herself can be a very likely suspect in Levy's disappearance. Why don't you give her the same consideration you gave to Paula Poundstone, the comedian who is not laughing who was arrested for lewd and lasiviious behavior involving her foster children and adopted chidren? $200,000 bail is pretty high but again, Paul Poundstone said she always read the sodomy laws before going to any state...oh she is so funny. Her husband seems to be a philanderer; perhaps Mrs. Condit tolerates this, especially if she is in ill health, as long as they are only 'meaningless flings' with no threat to her lifestyle. If Condit DID break it off with Levy, and if Levy DID 'take it hard', as some reports have presented, perhaps Mrs. Condit found Levy a threat to her own security... Just conjecture. Any good detective would consider ALL possible suspects, and as the 'injured wife', Mrs. Condit makes a prime one. And I stated in another post that if Poundstone is GUILTY, I hope they lock her up and throw away the key. But until then she is PRESUMED INNOCENT. San Francisco FBI agents probing the disappearance of intern Chandra Levy have questioned United Airlines flight attendant Anne Marie Smith, 39, who claims she had a fling with Condit, sources said. According to law-enforcement officials and others familiar with her story, Smith provided investigators with potentially embarrassing details about the 53-year-old California Democrat.
