[CTRL] No politics in NEXUS Magazine?

2000-05-04 Thread nexusmagazine

I've been collecting Nexus since 1990 and it is from my point of view
distressingly bereft of controversial political commentary.

I intentionally keep it bereft of controversial political commentary for
the simple fact that both left wing and right wing political machines are
manipulated by people who are into power, money and control. As such,
what is the point wasting breath even contemplating such mindless idiocy?

Ask the average person on the street what the difference is between left
and right wing governments - there is none.

Be warned, there will NEVER be controversial political commentary in
NEXUS whilst I am the owner. The left-versus-right paradigm is designed
to distract people from observing what is really going on.

Duncan

Well now, to be "controversial", political commentary does not have to fit it
into the much abused "left/right paradigm" - which seems to be the favoured
terminology that some wags use to illustrate their supposed elevation above
the fray although in reality they are not.

In fact your assertions that "both left wing and right wing political
machines are
manipulated by people who are into power, money and control" and that
politics is "mindless idiocy" seems like rather controversial political
comment to me.

Every article you print on the CFR or Bilderbergers or Illuminati or other
allegations about cabals is pretty damn controversial as it conflicts with
what the media tends to gloss over for various and it most certainly is about
politics. My gripe is that there isn't enough of it!

Indeed, and your statement could easily have been spoken by our list owner himself who
rightly points out the Hegelian Dialectical Paradigm of the right/left debate.
