Careful, Andrew--you're coming close to the truth...which is that there are
*multiple* "global steering groups" competing to set the agenda for the new
millennium. There is no such thing as "The Conspiracy"--instead there are many
different conspiracies, which sometimes fight each other and sometimes enter
into temporary alliances. Orwell hinted at this in *1984*, with the Inner
Party and the Outer Party, and especially with the fluctuating alliances...is
Oceania at war with Eurasia, or is it at war with Eastasia? Everything is
fluid, everything is changeable...O'Brien: "he who controls the present
controls the past; he who controls the past controls the future." Newthink is
doubleplus good; oldthink is doubleplus ungood; oldthink is
unthink...translation: it never existed in the first place, the thought was
never thought...and *you* are the Party's best mind-control agent, because you
control your own mind on the Party's behalf. Long live Big Brother. The clocks
are striking thirteen.

There's far too many there to be a credible global steering group.

They're just the front group, obviously. The Steering Committee
is much tighter - a few Republicans/Reptilioids, a few pragmatic
consultants, a few moles from various gov't and corporate intel
outfits, that's all.

Those choices sound too thoughtful - professors of peace, global love
plc, doctors of political correctness, reasonable politicians -

The velvet glove on the iron fist?

where are all the mad raving loonies that are really running this
 planet :)

Supposedly he just died. But that might have been disinformation...
