There does seem to be a growing consensus in that area. I
find it difficult to believe, but certainly plausible. After
all, what's Desert Storm really about? Oil. In school we all
learned about the US government system of checks and balances.
But I think of equal importance is the economic systems of
checks and balances, a three-way balance between employer, employee,
and government. That pretty much sums up most political debates
in the economic arena -- the struggle to shift this balance point.
For example, it could be argued that in 1978, the employees
had too much power.

To me, this seems like a deadly fragile system, because if it
gets too far out of balance, all the power and money flows to one
end of the scale, -- they attract and cause each other.

In theory, the side that is left high and dry would assert
itself and grab the power back. But what if the shift was
hidden? Let's just keep our eyes open.

The popular support for the Microsoft monopoly suggests to
me a bothersome trend to see economics as an ice hockey game
or even as war. People need to trade in their lemon-aid
stand economic theories for something a bit more realistic.

But what happens when the shift is all encompassing? For example lets
take a close look at raygun's interiror department.

james Watt head of dept of Interior---formerly of the Mountain State
Legal Foundation--- a group funded and started by Coors

Anne Gorusch head of EPA---formerly supported by Coors in the Colorado
legislature

Robert Burford head of BLM---- married Gorush, a rancher with grazing
permits on 32,000 acres of BLM land.

Sanderson and Field---EPA consultants brought to the EPA by Gorusch
both were former Coors lawyers.

Durham---- EPA head of the 6 state region--- former colleague of
Gorusch in the Colorado legislature

Coors manipulated additional dumping into a landfill previously shut
down through Sanderson, who just happen to be an lawyer for the
manager of the landfill, Chemical Waste management.

Now to tie this all together, long a mouth piece for the CIA and the
hard right Readers Digest referred to Joe Coors as a leading
environmentalist. Now thats a funny label for the head of the company
that is primarly responsible for a waste site that is deserving of
superfund status but do to undue political influence has not been
granted that status.

One comment here, the elections are set up today in such a manner that
only the rich or those that are supported by the rich can afford to
run a campaign. Details at: http://www.world.std.com/~nvri
