I don't know. I haven't planned any such move yet, so it will not happen in
the short term.

I have other more pressing admin things still pending, like for example moving
the mailing list host (cool.haxx.se) over to a new machine and IP address. I'm
still struggling to get mailman up and playing nicely there so I'm still a bit
off from that.

Oops. It's not related to the redirect but still broken. I'll work on it!

Thanks for pointing it out!

Starting now, all old curl website URLs should redirect over to curl.se.
curl.se is the new canonical home for the project. This redirecting happens if
you access the site using www.curl.se, curl.haxx.se or libcurl.se. All HTTP
accesses on these host names will also be redirected over to HTTPS.

I've *excluded* two particular path prefixes from redirecting for now, only to
potentially allow more automated scripts and bots to continue to work if
they're not following directs. That includes accesses to cacert.pem and curl
downloads.

Here is what I see in the Chrome browser console:

because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive:
"default-src 'self' curl.haxx.se www.curl.se curl.se
www.fastly-insights.com". Note that 'connect-src' was not explicitly
set, so 'default-src' is used as a fallback.

There are no more curl.haxx.se errors since the header has updated.

It's not fixed here. It looks like the references to the stylesheets

It is now (since my reply), you might still see the old version.

Yes I still get the old version.

Also you may have to add fastly analytics domain to default since you
appear to be using that for javascript or json or something.

It is already in there since before (www.fastly-insights.com).

Welcome to curl.se - our new home.

https://curl.se and https://www.curl.se/ work equally well.

The old name of course also works fine and so far it doesn't even
redirect.

I'm getting occasional revocation errors:

Session #6462: The server (curl.se) presented a certificate that did not
validate, due to RemoteCertificateChainErrors.

0 - The revocation function was unable to check revocation for the
certificate.

1 - The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the

How about making one of those the main one and the other one just a 302
redirection?
That way it wouldn't look like two different hosts/sites.
I don't know if this is still an issue with modern search engines, but it also
seems cleaner to me.
(Would maybe also make sense to redirecting the old
curl.haxx.se subdomain in the same way as well.)

Yeah, google will sooner or later mark some parts as duplicated content. And,
most probably, that will be the new names since it knows about the old name for
a long time already.
This may hurt search results. I *think* everything should just 301 to the one
canonical name.

In due time, yes. For now, we use "www.curl.se" in most links on the site so
if you navigate the site that is where you will end up.

I'm taking things slow. It's only been live and official for a few hours.
There will be redirects later on.

Cool!

Well done. Only took twenty years for Curl to get a proper named site
but I am sure someone will say "remember when curl was hosted on some
weird haxx site thing once upon a time?" and they will says that sort
of thing twenty years from now.
