Here is another one, a bit old, still on 9.99.93, using EFI, I just booted
it with three CPUs:

I have been having problems running it under VirtualBOX with the
GENERIC_KASLR kernel, I've reported it previously, still have no idea what
is the problem.

But otherwise on my hardware (6-year old HP Envy laptop, Intel(R) Core(TM)
i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz) it works fine. I always build the VirtualBox
additions for every minor version of -current.

Virtual machine settings?

I have several of them, some using EFI, some BIOS; some using VMware
graphics, some - still VboxSVGA. Generally they work ok, the additions
functionality with -current is not complete, but still useful.

I build -current 2-3 times a week and regularly test sysinst with various
configurations under VirtualBox.

Archive of .iso images for -current

2022-06-14 Thread Roland Illig

Hi,

NetBSD-current fails for me in a VirtualBox with more than 1 CPU.

https://gnats.netbsd.org/56883
https://gnats.netbsd.org/56884
https://gnats.netbsd.org/56885

NetBSD 9.2 from 2020-02-14 works fine.
NetBSD 9.99.97 from 2022-06-14 doesn't work.

There's more than 2 years of active development in between. To narrow
this down further, I'd like to bisect this without having to build the
whole release myself each time.

Is there a monthly archive of NetBSD-current somewhere? I looked on
https://cdn.netbsd.org/pub/ and https://archive.netbsd.org/ but couldn't
find anything. In particular, I'm interested in amd64/boot.iso.

Any other ideas?

Roland
