Re: x3270
x3270 is still an active package run /etc/postinstall/x3270.sh from bash and if you have no error rename it as /etc/postinstall/x3270.sh.done Regards Marco All the x3270.sh file did was define a few shell variables. It didn't fail and the rename worked. x3270
Hi. Not sure when this happened but I now have a complaint for cygwin on exit about x3270.sh returning exit code 1. I found it listed in /etc/setup/install.db and remove it. No joy. Do I recall the x3270 is defunct? Either way, how do I get rid of this error. It's annoying. Thanks. -- Chris Johnson rchristopherjohn...@gmail.com Ex SysAdmin, now, writer /I'm not afraid to die. cron running but not executing user crontab
Bit of a conundrum here. Running WIN7 and cygwin64. Have the terminal running and Perl is installed and runs. AFAIK, that all works. Used cygrunsrv to get cron going. I can see cron in a ps -af in the terminal. I set up a crontab for my user and it's in /var/cron/tabs by using crontab -e. Doesn't seem to be running anything in the crontab. I had wanted to run a Perl script in a Windows Directory outside the cygwin structure but using the /cygdrive/c etc path. Ain't working. Even tried the simplest thing I could think of and created a line date > dt.txt on it. Normally, under *nix this would put the results of date in dt.txt in the home directory. Not there. Just isn't running anything as far as I can tell. Any suggestions. I'd like to get this working. Want am I missing? Help appreciated. libUSB-Win32
Hi. Never run into this before. Running Win7 and installing cygwin via setup-x86_64 v2.879. I kept running into categories I couldn't install due to a missing libUSB-W32 driver. Some of the categories are Devel Math Net Publishing Python I get an error about libusb0, says I need to install this driver. Does anybody know; What this is? What it does? What uses it? Why it isn't part of the cygwin packages apparently? Tnx. -- Chris, (from the laptop) -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
How to remove a nirror from the cygwin set x86 64 mirrors list.
I added a bad url to the mirrors list in setup that lets you chose or add a mirror. It's a bad mirror and I want to remove it. It might be my inability to phrase it properly but I'm unable to find how to do this in the User manual, the FAQ, the archives or the web. I'm running Win 7 and cygwin_setupx86_64.exe calling itself version 2.876 for some reason. Is there a file I can edit or rename/move or replace the will allow me to remove this bad url from the setup mirror list? The only info I've found about this is a file called list-mirror but I can't find it anywhere.
